Thanks for your beautiful photos.I live in West Cork,Ireland.For the past week I have an unusual visitor to my garden bird box.It is intersperced with goldfinch,and chafinch,and the occasional bullfinch.It is smaller than any other species.Its black head and orange breast are the most striking features.I thought it might be a brambling,but having never seen one before and looking at your sisken,im not so sure now.Unfortunately I cant get a close up without a telephoto lens.

Thanks for all of the information. I was just looking around for some inspiration and your checklist has inspired me to set up and do a some tripod, low shutter speed, remote trigger images. Now I just need to wake up early for that perfect image I have in mind. Thanks and great work and advice!
