Unable to decide this evening whether to post a toned cool look or a toned warm look image of a book with a rose, so though I would published both. Both images.
Both images had exactly the same PS treatment to give a ‘distressed‘ look then the toning was added at the end of the processing.
I would be really interested to hear your thoughts – cool tone or warm tone ?

Unfortunately I have zero photography skills, but I’ve been told I have an artist’s eye. I’m typically a “cool” person over warm. BUT in this case, I like the warm better. They are both just gorgeous though. You have my dream job in my dream location and I can’t tell you how much I appreciate your talent. I’m in awe.

Thank you Sheila for your kind comments and mention in your blog post much appreciated. Scotland is a great place to live and work and we are very thankful. Reach out for your dream, we did and have never looked back.

I can see your delema in choosing. At first I went straight for warm as that is typically what I like but the more I looked at the cool the more I like it. So I have no idea now which one I prefer. I guess the deciding factor would be if you got them printed and how they looked mated and framed. All that to say great shot and I like them both

I commented earlier from my ipod but looks liek it did not come through so hopefully you don’t get it twice.
At first I went for the Warm look, probably because that is general tone i like. However once I had a good look at the Cool one I can see your struggle in picking one over the other. They are both great in their own way and I think the deciding factor might be in printing them and seeing how they look matted and framed.
Great shot and nice work in post to create the final look.
