Water Photography Workshops
Each One-to-One Water Photography Workshop day lasts for a minimum of 8 hours and costs just £135.00, it includes tuition and transport to and from the locations.
Water is always on the move, from crashing surf to flat calm lochs it never ceases to be an attraction and a lure to outdoor photographers … and here on the Isle of Mull we have our fair share of water.
With over 300 miles of rugged coastline, numerous lochs, burns and waterfalls for us to explore there will be no shortage of photo opportunities during our water photography workshops. Throughout the day we will visit different locations to photograph examples of the various opportunities.
Photographing water is a fascinating, rewarding and absorbing element of outdoor photography. It can be wild and dramatic or calm and soothing, flowing like silk or frozen in time; as the photographer the choice is yours. During the Water Photography Workshops we will consider the merits of each approach and learn the necessary skills and techniques involved to capture the desired result.
During this water photography workshops we will consider suitable locations and subjects, controlling exposure to achieve the desired effect, depth of field, control of shutter speed, use of tripod, the importance of light and the merits of suitable filters.
This is an on-location workshop so suitable footwear and clothing are essential. We will also discuss the safety aspects during the Water Photography Workshops of working near water and precautions to take.
This workshop includes one months follow up email advice and a review of your developing portfolio.
We will adopt a flexible approach to our photo locations and will be guided by the days weather. However, in the event of adverse weather we have a well equipped workroom available that will ensure a full day of tuition no matter what the weather.
