Oystercatchers on rocks in reflective mood

One from a couple of weeks ago taken during a calm sunny spell when these two Oystercatchers presented themselves and were too good a photo opportunity to miss.

The oystercatchers reflection completes the composition, adding interest to what would have been an otherwise blank area of water. I like that they are facing each other, and to me there is a feeling of both individuality and unity between them.

Love oystercatchers and this is a superb photograph of them. their cries are so much part of my childhood in the South west of Scotland but I love Mull and Iona too.
Glad I came upon your website – will keep an eye on it in future
