Vitamin pills – destined for stock library

This image of vitamin pills was one of many images created to produce a selection of stock images with a ‘health’ theme, these will be placed with photo stock library hopefully uploaded sometime this week.
In this shot the vitamin pills are spilling from their bottle, shallow depth of field places the emphasis on the pills whilst leaving the bottle ‘soft’ but in context. I enjoy spending a few hours periodically producing this kind of imagery and the benefit, if lucky, is they can be good stock library sellers.

An indoor shot titled this ‘Three strawberries’, rather unremarkable I know but I struggled to find anything better to call it. Whilst it is no way a momentous image it will eventually be sent off to the stock photo agency.

Tulip ballet, something a little different. This study of a fading tulip appealed to me because of its elegant form and graceful lines, it reminded me of a performing ballet dancer.

Close up nature photography is a fascinating part of photography and a way of seeing the world. We have now entered the world of close ups in nature, a world that lies just beyond the familiar that is so full of rich detail and striking beauty.
So if we look through our macro lens with an open mind, a little imagination and an almost childlike curiosity there are many more subjects for us to consider. There is certainly no need to go far. Indeed finding close ups in nature should be seen as more of a soul searching journey, a journey of inner vision and contemplation rather than a journey to some far off place.

Orchid – Winged messenger
