Lonely trees hold a fascination for me and many other landscape photographers. Their isolation and often gnarled and twisted appearance adds to their attraction though to me they seem to emanate a feeling of sadness.
With this collection of lonely trees I have tried to counter that feeling of sadness and isolation by photographing them at sunrise, the dawning of a new day.
